ACL pioneered auditing software. Its clients include over 70% of the Fortune 500, more than two thirds of the Global 500, the Big Four public accounting firms, and governments in over 130 countries. But due to the increased use of basic spreadsheet programs, smaller and medium-sized companies were opting not to purchase the specialized software. Sales growth predictions were not optimistic. In addition, the company had kept a modest industry profile; their audience was not aware of their size or the scope of their offering.

Core was retained to develop a marketing campaign aimed at positioning the company as an innovator and market leader as well as stressing their software’s benefits. By developing magazine ads addressing highly targeted vertical markets Core developed compelling messages that swiftly outlined what the exact benefits of ACL’s products and services meant to each market.
